Hong Kong — Where the Dragon Meets the Lion

Hong Kong is unlike anywhere else in the world — a former British colony that returned to Chinese sovereignty in 1997 but remains a unique blend of East and West, where Cantonese tea houses sit beneath gleaming skyscrapers and hiking trails lead to deserted beaches within 30 minutes of the financial district. The city's energy is electric, its food scene is world-class (no city on Earth does dumplings better), and its skyline — viewed from Victoria Peak or across the harbour on the Star Ferry — is one of the most iconic urban landscapes on the planet.
With one of the highest concentrations of Michelin-starred restaurants per capita, 260+ islands to explore, and a public transport system that is arguably the best in the world, Hong Kong rewards both the first-time visitor and the return traveller equally.
📍 Where is Hong Kong?
Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China on the southeastern coast, at the mouth of the Pearl River Delta. It sits 30 minutes by train from Shenzhen, 1 hour from Macau by ferry, and is connected by direct flights to virtually every major city worldwide. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (55 km — the world's longest sea bridge) links it directly to the mainland.
