China Travel Calendar 2026-2027 – Festivals, Weather & Events by Month

Timing is everything. Arrive during Chinese New Year without a plan and you'll find trains sold out and restaurants closed. Arrive in October during National Day and you'll share the Great Wall with approximately everyone in China. Arrive in April, however, and you'll have cherry blossoms, mild temperatures, and manageable crowds.

This month-by-month calendar tells you exactly what's happening when — so you can pick the perfect window for your trip.
